Mayor Mia Love of Saratoga Springs secured the Republican nomination for Congress by a resounding margin at Saturday’s convention, garnering a whopping 70% of the vote from the GOP delegates of Utah’s 4th Congressional District. The excitement and energy Love brought was palpable in the convention center. Mia Love is clearly entering the race for Congress with the wind at her back, something that cannot be said for her Democrat opponent. [cont…]
WRR: Thai Orchid | Quaint, but Authentic
When our first pick for lunch turned out to be closed, we took a look around and saw two restaurants. One had a full parking lot of cars in front of it, while the other looked like it, too, might be closed. We picked the restaurant less visited…and it made all the difference. [cont…]
WRR: Last Samurai Downtown | Sushi and Sashimi
Seated quickly, our waitress was quick to serve our drinks, speedy to refill them, and prompt with our orders. I cannot make one complaint about the service.
Heck, even the food was good (if you like raw fish). Add enough soy sauce and wasabi, and raw fish is the last thing you notice…primarily because your nose is running. [cont…]
WRR: Greek City Grill

In Salt Lake City, apparently the answer is “yes.” Since 2009, Salt Lake City has required owners of three or more properties to get a business license. But on Sept. 1, a new rule […]
Este Pizzeria. New York style pizza in Salt Lake City.
With a couple of chairs and small tables outside and a flat glass window, you don’t know what you’re getting when you walk up to Este Pizzeria. What you get is faux urban, pop culture decorated, and all deliciousness. I ordered a half-half split pizza–half all cheese for my friend, toppings of sausage, some onions, […]
Maxwell’s East Coast Eatery: Good Lunch, Slow Service
If you’re in a hurry, do not try Maxwell’s East Coast Eatery. Situated just north of fourth south on Main Street in Salt Lake City, Maxwell’s is an obvious stop for the downtown crowd. Occupying the corner of the building, Maxwell’s is lots of polished wood, a central bar, large televisions, and high stools. It’s […]
