Washington Examiner releases extensive history of Obama

Do you know how you will vote in November?

The Washington Examiner has done an extensive report stemming from four months of investigation and dozens of interviews of Obama’s associates. It’s longish, but worth the read.  If there’s one thing this blog has consistently promoted, it’s making the effort to get informed beyond the spin and the glitz of campaign advertising.

I won’t tell you my reaction to the report–I’m already opposed to Obama’s reelection. But I will quote  the Washington Examiner’s own assessment of Obama:

But beyond the spin and the polls, a starkly different picture [of Barack Obama] emerges. It is a portrait of a man quite unlike his image, not a visionary reformer but rather a classic Chicago machine pol who thrives on rewarding himself and his friends with the spoils of public office, and who uses his position to punish his enemies.

It’s a stark assessment, one that’s followed by section titles like “A childhood of privilege, not hardship,” “For the slumlord’s defense, Barack Obama, Esq.,” “The poor people Obama left behind,” and “Obama brings Chicago politics to Washington.”

Proving to be a reassessment of the myths created by Obama’s two autobiographies and Senate and Presidential campaigns, I am sure that it’s a biographical look that many supporters of the President would prefer not be seen, or perhaps examined.

Will you take the time to read into the report? Or have you already made your decision on Obama?
